The Health Passport for People with an Intellectual Disability was launched formally in 2019. Here is a link to the original article which appeared on the Saolta (University Health Care Group) Web Site. Saolta provides acute and specialist hospital services to the West and North West of Ireland – counties Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal and adjoining counties.

A video was created and featured Paul Gallen Jnr, a young man who has Down Syndrome and who is the lead actor in the film. He did an excellent job of creatively getting the message of the rights of people with intellectual disability to equal access to health care and how the Health Passport can support this.
December 2021 - The App version of the Health Passport for People with an Intellectual Disability was launched and this is the press release from the HSE from their web site.
